Drop. Dead. Gorgous!

Don't get me wrong, I love my bike. For the money... If my wallet was the size of a Nokian 3.0 tyre I might buy any, if not all, of the following:-

First of, YETI MTB's. Graphics are through the roof slightly retro numbers by Troy Lee, rivalled only by some Klein numbers. Missy Giove used to ride for Yeti. One of the first Aluminuim MTB's to be made, also I think it was the first Easton (mmmmm) aluminium bike. Available bikes include the A.R.C., the Lawill 6, the Lawill 4 and a softail XC machine. Prices? Try over £2k for the Lawill 6 frame and rear disc, which is waaaay over the top. Still damn nice though...

Ladies, Gents, and riders who are neither, I present the top of the range Yeti, the Lawill Straight 6, A.K.A. A study in sex.....

Please dont scratch the paint!

Next we have a more modern company, INTENSE. Not been available in the UK before 1996 and they have a new paint job for '99...mmmmmm. However the M1 SL looked da bomb in polished. Made a massive impact with Shaun Palmer at the 1996 worlds (or was it 1997?) when he almost beat Nico Viollez. Also damn expensive, with the M1 SL about the same price as the Lawill 6. The M1 SL has adjustable travel (up to 8"), wheelbase, BB height, chain length, headtube angle, etc etc. New model to be introduced soon, an XC machine called the TRACER. Here is some of the 1999 Intense line up:-

Just dont put anything below Shimano LX on any of them!

The dog's...So innocent...The Stress Tranfer device

How about some nice cranks? The problem with, say Shimano XTR is that the colour wears of and it looks well shabby after a few rides...But these babies from SYNCROS feature the Stress Transfer Device and are polished and engraved and so will always look the part... well they should for £318 for the cranks only...

Suits you Sir...I'll take two. Don't wrap them, I'll eat them here.

Next up are these beauties from the Canadian outfit RACE FACE. Very easy on the eyes, and the carbon fibre bits on the cranks should help keep the scuff marks at bay for some time...And why not get a Titanium spindled bottom bracket whilst you are there? It would be a sad waste to hide one of these in a bb shell... And so the question on every rider's lips:- Syncros or Race Face?
